Poverty is defined as the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable
amount of money or material possessions. According to the U.S. Census Bureau
data released Tuesday September 13th, 2011, the nation's poverty rate rose to
15.1% in2010, up from 14.3% ( approximately 43.6 million )in 2009 and to its
highest level since 1993. In 2008, 13.2% ( 39.8 million ) Americans lived in
absolute poverty.
Daniel Axelrod, President Obama former campaign manager stated that, Obama's campaign has said that Obama would be best positioned to restore a middle class that has been battered by economic downturn. My question is, what about the poor?
The Church of Jesus Christ has a MANDATE from God and that is..." only that you remember the poor." We as a people that are believers in Christ are uniquely positioned at this hour to show our people a way out of this economic downturn.
The banks in recent days published that there will be fee increases on the use
of their debit cards and other fees would be coming forth to offset what the
U.S.government has legislated, concerning their income from the use of debit
cards.
